How does it work properly?

In our EcoGuard app, you will be able to report homes suspected of burning environmentally toxic substances such as plastic, rubber, etc. This information will then go to a server. From the server, the information will be forwarded to our drone operator, who will check the authenticity of the report. If the report turns out to be genuine, the operator will send the drone to a designated point to collect data from the sensor and check whether the level of smoke pollution is within standards. If not, the system will notify the relevant services to further verify the home.

 

Our drone will be equipped with:

-Special sensors to check the composition of smoke emitted from chimneys,

-An Arduino board that will house the software for the drone;

-GPS system, which will allow the drone to move efficiently and safely through the air

Blender is a free, open source 3D graphics creation program that offers features such as modeling, sculpting, texturing, rendering, animation, simulation, video editing and more. It is used by professionals, artists, students and 3D graphics enthusiasts.

We will be using it to create a model of our own drone!

The Arduino board will be our drone's brain. This board will house the software for the drone to move properly.

Sensors will allow us to study smoke from fireplaces.

We will make the drone using a 3D printer that we have at the school - the Omni200. To print our drone we will use the modeling program , "Blender".
